Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center began in 1990 in a small room in David's Church. From there we moved to 150 Race Street, and in 2002 moved to our current location at 403 Union Street. Our primary goal is to help women and families from the time they find out they are pregnant until their children are about age six.
All services are free, including pregnancy tests and material aid such as food, diapers, toiletries, clothing, furniture, and toys. We receive used clothing and furniture for children and expecting moms. We also have a "Boutique" with brand new clothing and equipment.
We offer classes to help with parenting, budgeting, stress management, anger management, relationships, and life in general. We have a variety of pamphlets, videos, and booklets available for client use. We also offer a post-abortion program to help women who have had an abortion and are now suffering adverse emotional consequences. Additionally, we have a Staff Pastor available for clients who wish to explore deeper matters of the heart.
Lifeline is also focused on preventing unplanned pregnancy. We have several educational programs which challenge our communities to adopt a godly view of sexuality and the sanctity of human life. These programs are available for youth groups, churches, and schools.
Our financial support comes from local churches, businesses, and individuals. We have three main fundraisers each year (Baby Bottle Campaign, Banquet, Year-End Appeal). Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center is a Christian ministry whose mission is to defend and support life, therefore we do not recommend or refer for abortions.
To every woman, a choice of life.
To every child, a chance at life.
To every family, a Christ-centered life.
