Two different worlds! That’s how to describe the difference between being a teen and being an adult; We live in two completely different worlds.
Most teens don’t want to admit it, but they are still developing in their bodies, minds and spirits. They most definitely still need guidance, help and lots of love. Maybe at this age more than ever before.
So how do we, as adults, breach the gap between these two worlds when a teen is most vulnerable and needs help from adults?
Like when they are facing an unplanned pregnancy?
That question plagued Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center staff and volunteers. How can we inform young adults and teens that Pregnancy Care Centers, like Lifeline PCC, exist to partner with them, offering help, hope, support, options and yes, love, when they are facing a pregnancy? They don’t have to be alone in their world.
Many times, the adults are not the initial bridge in the gap between the teen world and the adult world. Sometimes the adult’s help is too little, too late.
We literally prayed for God’s guidance and His answer came in a simple, straightforward manner. He led us to create a small, yet powerful, program that enlists others to be Community Missionaries to our youth.
“The Life Force” was created to communicate help and hope to pregnant teens, by enlisting other teens who are willing to be Missionaries in their own communities.
“The Life Force” is All about Teens Helping Teens! This program is a multimedia resource that combines text and Power Point presentation slides to explain what it takes to become a Teen Member of the Life Force, and how to take action by helping pregnant teens.
Lifeline has made this program available to other Pregnancy Centers for a donation of $20. For your donation, you will receive: The Leader's Guide, The Student Handout, Life Force Business Card Template, and the Power Point Presentation.
